Acqua di S.M. Novella is the Officina Profumo-Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’s oldest fragrance. Acqua di S.M. Novella - also known as Acqua della Regina (the Queen's Water) - it celebrates the perfume that Caterina de’ Medici commissioned the Dominican monks to create in 1533, and she took it with her to France when she married Enrico di Valois.

I LOVE the Acqua di S.M. Novella. Every time I wear it I am reminded of my chic French grandma who used to smell like this. It reminds me of the scent of her suitcase when she would come back form France filled with the most chic clothes and perfumes. My daughter told me I smell expensive :D
