• Description

  Caterina de' Medici used tobacco as a remedy for migraines so often that the herb became known as Herba catharinaria. Tuscan tobacco, traditionally cured with wood smoke, gives the composition its intense and leathery character. The candle carries this smoky and woody accord, deepening into a resinous base of guaiacum, sandalwood and vanilla. From the Firenze 1221 collection. Ø 7,5 cm H 7 cm

• How to use

  Place on a heat-resistant surface before lighting. On first use, allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface. Trim the wick to 3–5 mm before each use and keep it centred. Do not burn for more than three hours at a time. Extinguish with a candle snuffer. Never leave unattended, and do not move while lit or while the wax remains liquid.
