Mini L'Iris

L'Iris Eau de Parfum, named after the emblem of Florence since 1266. Galbanum, timur pepper and neroli at the opening. Geranium, magnolia champaca and jasmine sambac at the heart. Iris fiorentina, musk and ambergris at the base. Green and powdery. Known in Italian as giaggiolo, the iris plant's fragrance comes not from its petals but from its rhizome, an underground stem that yields orris after years of drying and ageing. One of the rarest materials in perfumery, it has been cultivated on the Florentine hills since the Middle Ages. It anchors the base of L'Iris alongside musk and ambergris. From I Giardini Medicei.
